Food Pantry offers food packages to our neighbors in need. We also provide referral information about resources that can help in other ways (clothing, financial assistance, etc.). The Food Pantry is open (to eligible community members) Monday-Thursday 10:00 am- 2:00 pm.
Homeless Assistance Program offers food, shower facilities and basic hygiene packs to community members who are displaced or homeless. Shower facilities are available Monday-Thursday 10:00 am- 2:00 pm.
Community Outreach Program offers a variety of community resources opportunities on-site at HAAM. Some of the programs available include Legal Aid (once a month), application assistance for Medicaid, CHIPS, WIC, etc. (2 times a week), Project Mammogram (weekly), and many more services. Case Management Program provides individuals and families facing economic challenges the opportunity to work one-on-one with a case manager who assists in meeting individualized goals. HAAM has two programs, a short term (HPRP) and long term (Family to Family) self-sufficiency program.
Skills Classes/ Mentor Program offers resource classes that are geared toward strengthening budgeting and money management, employment readiness and enhancement and individual autonomy. Adult Literacy classes include basic reading, writing and english as a second langueage and are offered daily and Tuesday evenings. The Mentor Program links community members with clients in a supportive environment. The mentors provide guidance, support and encouragement.
Employment Center helps unemployed and under-employed persons find work. If you are looking to improve your employment situation, we offer a trusting and supportive program.
Services include:
Resale Shop (2 Locations- Humble & Kingwood) offers community members the opportunity to shop for clothing, household and furniture items at a discounted price. Working In conjunction with the Humble store location, HAAM Client Services offers emergency clothing vouchers for eligible participants.
Child & Youth Program offers educational, vocational, recreational and developmental programs for children & youth. Programs available include “Back to School”, “Seasons of Sharing”, and “Empty Stocking Toy Drive.” Please call the Client Service Center (281-446-3663) for more information.
