About Us

Humble Area Assistance Ministries is a non-profit organization created to address the needs expressed by local clergy for a social service agency. HAAM was created 20 years ago, February 14, 1990. At the time 16 congregations and organizations came together to provide a comprehensive social service agency that would be the safety net for Humble ISD and East Montgomery County. The idea is that churches and schools would no longer need to provide food pantries and by centralizing efforts duplication would be avoided. As the community grew, so has HAAM. Today, HAAM is supported by almost 30 Covenant Organizations as well as many local business, organizations, groups and individuals in the area.
